From the Pastor's Desk
Ephesians 4: 17 "This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye
henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind."
We were born seperated from God. We didn't know the Holy Ghost,
therefore, we were ignorant of Spiritual matters. We didn't know or
understand how we could think correctly and according to the Spirit of
God. But Matthew 4:17 tells us, "From that time, Jesus began to
preach and to say, Repent; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." This
meant that they should repent, turn from the way they had always been

taught to think in the flesh and think in the Spiritual realm. I Cor.2:11 says, "For what man knoweth the things
of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of
God." Many were offended by the teachings of Jesus. But Jesus knew without the "God Kind of thinking"...
without, the Spirit of man being born again, there would be no entrance into the Kingdom of heaven. Acts 4:12
tells us that "there is no other name whereby we must be saved than Jesus Christ our Lord." John 14:6 tells us
that He said, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Therefore, our
old way of thinking, the fleshly way, the carnal way of thinking in man has to change. Without God, we are
ignorant because our thinking is wrong. Only in Jesus can our thinking be correct. Ephesians 4:18 tells us,
"Having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through ignorance that is in them,
because of the blindness of their heart:" in other words, without God, we are alienated from "life". V. 20-23
tells us to put off the old and V.23 tells us "And be renewed in the Spirit of your mind; V.24 And that ye put on
the new man, which after God is created, in righteousness and true holiness." Amen!
