From the Pastor's Desk
Matthew 24:3-14 (read). As you read these scriptures, we see the
disciples asking Jesus what the signs of the end of the age will be.
Jesus outlined certain things that would happen before He returns.
These things included false christs, wars, and rumors of wars,
earthquakes, famines, pestilences, false prophets, violence,
lawlessness, a lack of love for others, and the preaching of the gospel
to all the nations in the world.
Many of these things look like the headlines from our daily
newspapers today. Yet even though we are to live in ready to meet
our Savior, we are not to set a date and time for Christ's return (v.
36.). Instead, we are to live our lives, intelligently, setting long-term
goals, making plans, and fulfilling God's plan for our lives.
Although Christians are to look forward to and expect Christ's
Second Coming, we are to fulfill the Vision that God has given us
for our lives even in an uncertain age of time.
Have Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, occupy til He comes and
always fulfilling that purpose that God has called you to fulfill while
here on this earth! He's Coming Soon!
Love ya,
Pastor
